Pulpit AI Alternatives: Other Ways to Turn a Sermon Into Weekly Content
If you are searching for Pulpit AI alternatives, you already know the job: Sunday's sermon was preached, the recording is sitting somewhere, and someone still has to turn it into a recap, a clip, a discussion guide and a few posts people will actually see this week.
Pulpit AI is the best-known tool for that work. It is a real option, and for some churches it is the right one. This page is a plain look at Pulpit AI itself and at other tools pastors compare with it, so you can match the product to the problem you actually have.
We make Amenflow, one of the options below. We will mark that clearly. Details about other products come from their public sites, checked on November 7, 2026. Those pages change, so confirm prices and features there before you decide.
First, a fair look at Pulpit AI
Pulpit AI, from Subsplash, takes a sermon you upload (audio, video, a manuscript or slides) and turns it into a wide set of follow-up pieces: a transcript and summary, discussion guides, daily devotionals, blog posts, a recap email, and unlimited custom and automatic video clips with captions you can style. It also includes an AI sermon assistant for sermon prep (openers, transitions, metaphors, application and similar ideas) and can generate resources from media already in the Subsplash Dashboard.
On Pulpit AI's pricing page the monthly plans are listed at $39, $59 and $129, for 5, 10 and 25 file uploads a month. Annual billing is listed at about 10% off. Every plan includes the full feature set they advertise, including unlimited clips.
Stay with Pulpit AI if short-form video is your top priority, you want an assistant that helps with sermon prep as well as follow-up content, or your church already lives in Subsplash. Amenflow: a full week from one sermon, built for small churches
Amenflow is our Pulpit AI alternative. It does one job: take a sermon you have already preached or written and draft a week of ministry content from it. It never writes sermons, and it never posts or sends anything on its own.
From one upload (or a podcast feed, or a manuscript) you get a summary and transcript, a newsletter, social captions, captioned clips, a small group guide, a 5-day devotional, a kids' lesson for ages 5 to 10, a follow-up series plan, Scripture references, and Spanish versions of the summary, newsletter, group guide and captions. Key quotes are checked word for word against the recording. Churches that sign up also get church-branded, ready-to-post graphics.
Amenflow plans are $38, $58 or $128 a month, for 6, 12 or 30 sermons. That is $1 a month less than the matching Pulpit AI plan, with more sermons on each tier. You can try 3 sermons free, with every feature and no credit card.
Where Pulpit AI is likely stronger: unlimited clips, a caption style editor, a sermon-prep assistant, annual billing, and a built-in Subsplash connection. Amenflow is likely the better fit if you want a kids' lesson and Spanish in every pack, more sermons per month, podcast-feed import, and a longer no-card trial.
If that weekly content is used, it gives the sermon a path beyond Sunday: people who missed the gathering can still hear it, members can keep talking about it midweek, and someone scrolling on their phone can find their way to church. We wrote more about that in Does Amenflow work?.

Pastors.ai: YouTube in, clips and a church chatbot out
Pastors.ai is built around a YouTube sermon link. You paste the URL, and it emails back clips, a study guide, a 5-day devotional and related resources. It also offers a chatbot trained on your sermons and church website that you can put on your site, so a visitor can ask a question and get an answer drawn from what you actually preached. It advertises branded sermon pages and one-click posting to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
That chatbot is the distinctive piece. If you want people to be able to ask the sermon a question after they watch it, Pastors.ai is worth a look. Its workflow assumes the sermon is already on YouTube, which is easy for some churches and an extra step for others.
Pastors.ai advertises a free starting option and paid plans. Their published plan details have varied across pages, so check pastors.ai for current prices and what each tier includes.
Sermons.app: a different job (sermon prep, not Sunday follow-up)
Sermons.app shows up next to Pulpit AI in a lot of searches, including "sermon app" and "Pulpit AI alternative." It is not the same kind of tool.
Sermons.app is an AI sermon coach for preparation. It asks questions, reflects your themes back to you, and helps you sharpen a draft. It says plainly that it does not write the sermon for you. On its pricing page, checked November 7, 2026, the Pastor plan is $19 a month (or $190 a year), with unlimited sermon uploads and coaching sessions, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that requires a card. Higher Pastor Pro ($39 a month) and Church ($99 a month) tiers are listed there as well; confirm which of those are available now.
If your bottleneck is Saturday night, before you step into the pulpit, Sermons.app is aimed at that problem. If your bottleneck is Monday morning, after the sermon has already been preached, you want a repurposing tool such as Pulpit AI or Amenflow. We unpack that more in Pulpit AI vs Sermons.app and Sermons.app alternative.
Sermons.app also describes written follow-up pieces generated from your preparation notes rather than from a recording, and it says it does not make video clips. If clips are the reason you were looking at Pulpit AI, this is not a substitute for that part of the job.
Doing it yourself, with a free plan
You do not have to buy any of these tools. Export a transcript, pull out the big idea and a few quotes, and write the week's pieces by hand, or paste the transcript into a general chat tool and ask for each piece one at a time.
That costs little or nothing in money. It does cost time, and you still have to read every draft. General chat tools can invent a quote, a statistic or a story that sounds like you and that you never said. They can also flatten a specific illustration into generic church language.
If you want to do this without software, our free sermon repurposing guide has a day-by-day plan and a worksheet. The same habits matter if you do use a tool: start from what was actually preached, do not add new teaching, and let the preacher review before anything goes out.

FAQ
What is the best Pulpit AI alternative? It depends on the job. Amenflow is built for small churches that want a full week of content from one sermon, including a kids' lesson and Spanish versions. Pastors.ai is built around YouTube links and a church chatbot. Sermons.app helps with sermon preparation, which is a different job than turning a finished sermon into weekly content.
How much does Pulpit AI cost? Pulpit AI's pricing page, checked November 7, 2026, lists plans at $39, $59 and $129 a month for 5, 10 and 25 file uploads, with about 10% off for annual billing.
Does Amenflow replace Pulpit AI? Amenflow covers the same basic job: turn a preached sermon into follow-up content. Pulpit AI offers unlimited clips, a caption editor, a sermon-prep assistant and Subsplash integration, which Amenflow does not. Amenflow includes a kids' lesson, Spanish versions, more sermons per plan and a 3-sermon trial with no card. Run the same sermon through both if you want to compare the packs.
Is Sermons.app a Pulpit AI alternative? Only in a loose sense. Sermons.app is a sermon-prep coach. Pulpit AI (and Amenflow) start after the sermon has been preached. Many pastors search for both because they are shopping for "AI for sermons," but the problems sit on opposite sides of Sunday.
